ABC iview is the free streaming service of the Australian public broadcaster, with ABC News, Australian drama, comedy, documentaries, and a large children's library. It is funded for Australian viewers and checks the connection before it plays anything, so a session from Amman, Zarqa, or Irbid opens on a region notice. The fix costs nothing beyond the VPN: connect NordVPN to Sydney or Melbourne, open iview.abc.net.au, and the library plays as it does in Australia.

How to Watch ABC iview in Jordan [Short Steps]
Quick Steps
- Get NordVPN and install it on the phone, laptop, or streaming device you use for television.
- Connect to a server in Sydney or Melbourne.
- Open iview.abc.net.au in a private window, or launch the ABC iview app while the tunnel is running.
- Accept the location prompt or create the free ABC account when a programme asks for one.
- Play an episode for a minute so the session locks to the Australian region.
There is no payment step, so the whole setup takes about ten minutes. Keep one city for every session, because iview reads your location again each time the player reloads.
Why Can't I Watch ABC iview in Jordan?
ABC iview carries the public broadcaster's own programmes and a set of acquired series, and the rights for most of that catalogue cover Australia only. The service has no subscription and no card, which makes the IP address the single gate it can enforce. That is why the notice appears before the first frame.
Jordanian television runs on Jordan TV, Roya, and the big Arabic satellite networks, with Orange Jordan, Zain, and Umniah delivering fibre and 4G in the cities. Those packages carry Arabic drama, news, and sport, but not the English-language documentaries, ABC comedy, and children's shows that iview holds. The Jordanian dinar on your card is irrelevant here, because iview never asks for payment.
How a VPN Helps You Watch ABC iview in Jordan
A VPN routes your traffic through an Australian server and replaces your Jordanian address with the server's address. ABC iview reads the session as local and serves the full library. The tunnel is encrypted, which keeps the login and the viewing history off shared networks in Amman cafes and hotel business centres.
Sydney and Melbourne carry the full catalogue. NordLynx keeps the stream stable on an Orange or Umniah fibre line, and obfuscated servers help where the network is strict about VPN traffic. Perth works as a backup with a little more latency.

How to Get a ABC iview Account in Jordan
ABC iview has no subscription and no payment step, but the website asks for a location on first visit. Set that while the VPN is connected so the local news and the state-based pages match the server.
Signing Up Through a VPN
There is no account to create for most of the library. Connect NordVPN to Sydney, open iview.abc.net.au in a private window, and answer the location prompt. Some programmes ask for a free ABC account, which needs only an email and a password.
Payment Options
Nothing on ABC iview costs money, so a Jordanian card never enters the process. The only cost is the VPN, and the free library stays free. If a page ever asks for payment, you are on an unofficial mirror and should close it.
Free Trial
There is no trial to cancel because iview is free. NordVPN carries a 30-day money-back window, so the Australian route can be tested for a month without risk.
Step-by-Step Activation
- Connect NordVPN to a Sydney server.
- Open iview.abc.net.au in a private window or launch the app.
- Answer the location prompt for New South Wales.
- Sign in to the free ABC account if a programme asks for it.
- Play an episode and keep the same server for later sessions.
