How to Watch The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch on Hulu (2026 Guide)

Last Updated on September 27, 2026 by Walter

The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch is one of the most-watched paranormal investigations on US television, and it is a History Channel original – which means it lives behind a US geo-block. If you are outside the United States, Hulu and the other live TV services that carry History will not load the show for you, no matter how fresh your subscription is. A reliable VPN changes that: connect to a US server and the same account works from any country. Here is how to watch The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch on Hulu from anywhere.

How to watch The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch on Hulu from anywhere (Quick Guide)

Is The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch geo-restricted?

Yes. The show is a History Channel series, and History is licensed for the US (and, via separate broadcasters, Canada). Hulu streams it through the Hulu + Live TV bundle, which also carries the History channel. Both Hulu and History check your IP address, so when you are abroad you get the “not available in your region” screen. The only reliable way around it is to connect to a US server with a VPN, which gives you a US IP and makes your session look local.

The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch: what you need to know

The series follows a team of scientists and investigators at a 512-acre property in Utah's Uintah Basin, one of the most documented paranormal hotspots in the world. Led by astrophysicist Dr. Travis Taylor and ranch owner Brandon Fugal, the crew uses drones, ground-penetrating equipment and thermal imaging to probe odd readings, mysterious animal deaths and strange underground structures. Two locations dominate the story: the Mesa, a rocky ridge the team believes may hide metallic objects or structures, and the Bubble, the team's nickname for an invisible force field that seems to interfere with electronics and instruments.

Season 7 pushes the investigation deeper. The team runs intense drilling operations under the Mesa, launches a swarm of a hundred drones to map the Bubble, and invites a Navajo shaman to perform a ritual at Homestead Two – one of the season's more unsettling episodes. Each new test seems to raise more questions than it answers, which is exactly why the show keeps pulling viewers in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch on normal Hulu?

It is a History Channel series, so you need the live TV side – Hulu + Live TV – rather than the basic on-demand Hulu plan. The same applies to the other live TV services that carry History.

What are the Mesa and the Bubble?

The Mesa is the rocky ridge the team keeps investigating, which they suspect may hide buried metallic objects or structures. The Bubble is their name for a suspected invisible force field on the ranch that appears to interfere with electronics and scientific instruments.

How many episodes are in Season 7?

Season 7 premiered on May 19, 2026 and runs for six episodes.

Can I watch it for free?

The main free route is a live TV free trial, such as YouTube TV or Philo, which include History and can be cancelled before the trial ends. You still need a VPN if you are outside the US.

Will my Hulu account be banned for using a VPN?

Using a VPN is not against most local laws, but it can breach a service's Terms of Service. Use a reputable paid VPN, keep to one account, and check the platform's terms – and your local rules – before you rely on it.

Conclusion

The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch is a US-licensed History Channel series, so the only reliable way to watch it from outside the States is a VPN with solid US servers. Connect to a US location, open Hulu + Live TV (or another service that carries History), search for the show and stream. If you want the smoothest experience across every device, start with Surfshark VPN before the next episode airs.
